Chapter 1- Crossing of The Schools

Fire crackled in the moon light as it floated into a dark room. A maroon chair was sitting in front of the
fire, and in it sat it's owner.

"The Elders are getting worried. They trapped the orb inside a student; How predictable." The man sitting in
the chair was tall and hansom with short brown hair, a grey coat and maroon eye's. He also had a low and
 muscular voice.

Clomp! Clomp! A tall, plain looking man with short blond hair, green eye's and a white travel coat came
 waltzing in then suddenly stopped.

"Sir, our spy's have located the orb inside a student of Sorcerer. Do you want us to get it now?"
 He asked bravely.

The other man closed his eye's and replied, "No Joseph. We don't know which one it is yet. We can't use the
incantation until we're completely shore. Let us wait until the student show's any sign of the power of the
orb; Then, and only then, shall we strike."

Joseph bowled then slowly wondered off. The other man grinned.
                                                         *
Tick, tick, tick; Beep, beep beep! Clair woke up suddenly and sat up so fast that she hurt her head. "Ouch!
Blasted alarm clock. Wake me up with your load ringing." she muttered to herself.

The door creaked open a fraction and the sound of her mum fluttered in, "Come down Clair, it's time you
got up." "Right, I'll be down in a sec." She replied.

Clair was an average size for a 13 year old and had shoulder length blond hair with blue eye's.

She crept down towards the kitchen and entered. Her mum was putting some toast on a plate and put it down
in front of Clair as she sat down at the table. She was a tall and thin women with grey-blond hair and hazel
green eye's. She was also wearing a grey jumper, navy blue pants and a rust black travelling coat.

"Oh, I'm so happy, your finally going to Sorcerer! Isn't this exciting, Clair..." Clair stopped chewing
suddenly. She started to turn red. Then, without warning, screamed, got a cup of water and gulped it down
 like mad.

She slammed down the cup, looked towards her mum a spurted, "But I can't go to Sorcerer, I'm only half
 witch; Everyone will tease me."

"Your going where you like it or not!" Her mum finished making Clair finish her toast. Clair rolled her
 eye's and moaned.

"This is not going good." She thought to herself as they got ready to go out to Central M City.
                                                        *
They headed off in the car. It was along ride, thought Clair and started tapping the window gently.
Her mum didn't mind because she was too busy watching the road and listening to the music on the radio.

They stopped at a clearing with lots of water there. They headed towards a dry spot, right through the
centre of the wet spot's, and walked about a mile until they reached what looked like a city. They walked
towards it, and with every step they took, the city got much clearer until they reached the entrance.

They had reached Central M City.

"Finally," Gowned Clair as she staggered after her mum into the city.

There were lot's of shops there. There was people everywhere wearing various things such as cloaks,
T-Shirts, robes, jumper's and even swimming wear. All in different colours. Then she noticed that there
was different kinds of species there as well as human's. Clair was shore she saw a troll go into the pub
near the entrance, and a fairy go into a clothe shop up ahead.

She always liked coming here because it was always such fun. She smiled as a pixy and a gremlin strode past.
Her mum was too busy looking around, seeing if she could find a shop she wanted. They were going to see a
friend in one of the shops so they headed out.

As they walked further into the city, Clair noticed someone she recognized. A girl with long brown hair and
hazel brown eye's and wearing a dark blue robe with silver fastening, was strolling past, looking around as
 she walked on.

The girl suddenly stopped beside Clair and said, "Well, well, well. So your finally starting witches school
are we. I don't know what you see in that useless mortal school you went to." Then she started to laugh
 gently.

"Oh woppty do. Like I care what you think; Specially coming from someone who goes to St. Oe's Heaven!" Clair
spouted out. The other girl stopped giggling and looked at her with a look of hatred. "Come on Sophie, cheer
up a bit; It's not like you go to Peterson's Level or anything. Although, I am surprised that you didn't
go to Richard's Palace, considering how you seem to throw around so much money, or so you say."

Sophie squinted and was about to say something when Clair's mum yelled out to her, "Clair, come on all ready,
I need to see Hash before she goes; Now come on!"

Sophie looked around at Clair's mum and said, "Mum will be at the back, Mrs. Winday." And they both followed
Mrs. Winday into the back room of the store.

It was almost empty accept for a couple of boxes and a women with long, light brown hair and a dirty black
robe, stood in the middle of the room, sorting through one of the boxes.

She looked up as they entered the room. When she saw who they were, she blurted, "Taress, nice to see you
again," with a smile on her face.

"How's business, Kay," Clair's mum asked.

"Oh, it's been fine you could say. I'll be staying at my sister's place until mum get's better. I'll
probably be back by the end of first term so I'll be back to pick Sophie up." Sophie's mum explained
as she finished sorting through the box and closed it.

"Hay mum, guess what," started Sophie as her mum looked up, "Clair's going to Sorcerer. Didn't you say
she was smarter than that and should go to St. Oe's with me?" She finished with a smirk.

Her mum looked up at her and said, "I suppose considering her father went to Sorcerer, it's really no
surprise that she chose to go there...'

"I didn't chose to go anywhere, hmm!" Clair yelled furisaly as her mum looked at her with a cruel expression.
She looked away, too nerves to say anything again.

"Don't mine her. She just think's everyone will tease her because she's only half magic." Explained her
mum coolly. Sophie's mum, Kay, looked up with a smile and said happily, "It's OK, we've got a bit of mortal
in us as well, Sophie was nerves of going because of that too, but she's fine, so don't worry about it Clair."

Sophie snorted and looked away. Clair felt slightly better knowing that it won't be the end of the world if
 she went to Sorcerer.
                                                        *
The trip back home seemed shorter then the trip to the city. Probably because she was talking to her mum the
 rest of the way.

"So, so, how did you meet dad? And, and, when did he tell you that he was a wizard? And, and..."

"Well, I meet your dad when we were at work, and I think he told me that he was a wizard before we got
married to make sure that it was OK with me, yeah. Why do you ask?"

"Ah, I was just wondering. I was curious because your a mortal and he was a wizard and stuff." Finished
Clair as her mum pulled into the drive-way.

I had been a long day so Clair was releived to get inside and go to bed; If it wasn't only 5 o'clock in
the afternoon, as she ran up stairs to look at some panthlet's that she got during the day.

They read: Peterson's Level: Join the darkhorse
St. Oe's Heaven: For the interlectual and the best
              Warthesis: The hight of Magic
Richard's Palace: Enter the wealth of Magic
Fesa Glades: Yeild to our creatures
Tropa Scent: Enchanted to teach and train

Then she looked down at the Sorcerer one and saw how different and colourful it was compared to the other one's.
It said: Sorcerer School of World Wide Australian Witches and Wizards welcome's any and every person with a
Magical talent to come to this school, whether old or young, come on down and we will accept you, even if your
 part or completely mortal.

"Well, I'm convinced," thought Clair as she put the brousher down and swiched off the light as she driffted
to sleep, trying to forget all about tomorrow.
