Up date on me!!

After finding a lump in my right breast

I have been diagnosed

with breast cancer as I am at the begining of my journey I

dont know where this will take me , but I do know I am not

going to let this keep me down ,I am going to get through

this and I dont care how long it takes I will survive

BBW BOOBIE ART????

What is that? I can sense you thinking.

And would you believe it all started with a DARE!!!

I happened to see a lady selling similar breast paintings on Ebay and I wrote to a friend in Sydney.

In the subject line, I cheekily wrote. "If this thin lady can do this, so could we".

In my next email I remember writing "After all bigger is better and my boobs are definitely bigger" LOL.

My friend emailed me back with the words that started it all

"I DARE YOU!!!"

So me being the sort of lady who will never turn down a dare I took her up on it...

I bought several tubes of paint and two canvases and I painted, putting the results of my 'Art' on ebay in two separate auctions...

I started them at only $10.00 because I did not really expect them to sell.. The first one sold for $20.00 and the next for $26.00!!

And that is when the dare became a reality, I was a Big Beautiful Woman Breast Painter..

The thoughts in my head were screaming "FAR OUT!", and okay I will do it again and then they started to sell for bigger amounts...

$90.00 is the highest price I have received so far at auction.

I even came up with the idea of painting the Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon and I sold "Pink Ribbon" for $74.00 with all proceeds going to The National Breast Cancer Foundation..

The thing that really made me think, was the lady that won the Charity Auction was herself being treated for breast cancer and she told me she saw winning the auction as a positive omen and she now feels like she will fight her cancer and win...I thought to myself that it was lovely and have asked her to keep in touch and to let me know how her treatment was going...

Now I guess you are wondering who is this BBW Breast painting woman?

My name is Di Peel and I am a mother to five children, three are still living and two sweet angels that suffered neonatal passing.. Out of my surviving children my oldest is my son Daniel who is now 26 ( and intellectually handicapped), my daughter Christy is the next oldest at 24 years of age and the youngest is Tye who is 11 years old... He often helps me to 'name' my paintings... I am also a grandmother, to two lovely little girl's called Lilly who is almost 5 years old and Carley who is 6 months old. I have been happily married to my husband Gavin for 13 years...

Born and Breed in Sydney NSW ..I moved to Queensland just after my 30th birthday .. Then 5 yrs later I met and almost straight away married my now husband "Gavin" .. Five years ago we decided to move to Tasmania and stayed there for 5 yrs but a few months ago we decided to move back to QLD so now one week later we are happily living in Ningi which is on what we have always called the never ending road to Bribie Island ..

My breasts are size 38DDD (at least that's the size it shows on my bras).

My paintings can take from a day to a week to finish, sometimes even longer because I use so much paint that the drying process is not a fast one. I have to shower after each colour change.. I also use canvas boards because paper is way too flimsy... I use Acrylic paints as they are non toxic and wash off in water..

I apply the paint either directly to my breast or pour it on to the canvas and lean onto it and smear it all over the canvas. I think that a lot of my paintings look like abstract flowers... They are colourful and really 'out there'. So far I have found it fun to do, and not at all a chore..

What's the use of painting with your breast and signing it with your hand? All my paintings are signed with my nipple and the buyer is always welcome to a photo of me doing just that...

Here are my 'claims to fame' so far....
